This characterful Austin 12/4 Heavy Windsor saloon has been in the same family since 2013, used for a wedding and various local rallies, and we're told it has been very reliable.
Aside from a 2025 receipt for new rear lights, there are sadly no maintenance receipts with the car, but the vendor tells us it has received “ongoing maintenance”. This has included the fitment of indicators (operated by a switch on the dash) to aid safety on the road.
The Austin is supplied with previous & current versions of the V5C, a sales receipt from 1995, green logbook from the 1960s/'70s (when the car was based in Somerset) and a spare headgasket. It was first registered on 21st August 1928, so its 100th birthday is only 2 years away. The last MoT was passed with no advisories in 2009 at 94,643 miles. Today the odometer shows 98,405 miles.
We're advised that the wiper needs a new vacuum tube, and the radiator has a slight leak if over-filled.
